We have had a brilliant start to Year 3 and Key Stage 2 so far! The children have demonstrated their Cambridge Learner Attributes superbly and worked on becoming more independent. Our amazing team has been working hard to ensure children have the chance to learn, discover, collaborate, and challenge themselves.

We’ve also had a wonderful trip to Nuga Gama where we discovered more about our locality and what life was like in Sri Lanka many years ago. During our Stone Age topic, we visited the museum and saw great artefacts that helped the children understand what life was like in the Stone Age.
Year 3 has been busy learning about humans, animals and their skeletons in science. They were also fascinated by the investigations we carried out during our topics on Light and Plants. It has been great to witness their curiosity and enquiry skills. They have also been rock detectives and discovered the properties of rocks and learned about the Rock Cycle.

Developing our love for reading has also been an ongoing target for us and the children have enjoyed the texts we’ve read for English and worked hard to build their vocabulary. Being TTRockstars has also been another exciting area where we have seen the children enjoying their battles and developing their mathematical skills during our maths lessons and Maths Week.

As we continue our journey in Year 3, we look forward to seeing the fantastic achievements of all our students and discovering their talents.
