Active learning is at the heart of our teaching philosophy, encouraging children to participate in hands-on learning activities that build their understanding through real-life experiences and collaboration with their peers. Rooted in solid research and global best practices, today’s Book Look session focused on how Key Stage 1 students engage in fun, meaningful lessons.
From using manipulatives in maths and role play in English to exploring the school garden, conducting practical science experiments, and participating in field trips and experience days, our children’s learning is vibrant and dynamic.
We were thrilled to share feedback from the children themselves, with an impressive 97% stating they enjoy school. They told us they learn best when their teachers explain and demonstrate concepts and when collaborating with friends. Many students shared that they exchange ideas with peers every lesson and enjoy learning together at least three times a day!
Following the session in the auditorium, our special guests had the opportunity to visit classrooms, where their children proudly showcased their work and learning.
The event saw an excellent turnout, and the excited buzz around the school reflected our ongoing commitment to strengthening the partnership between home and school. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the incredible learning happening every day at Key Stage 1!
