The British School in Colombo Cub Scouts: Rainy Adventures and Festive Cheer

Written by:

On 30th November 2024, 12 Cub Scouts from The British School joined the 59th Colombo Camporee. The scouts were excited to take part in a day filled with fun activities, but heavy rain and thunderstorms brought the event to an early close. Undeterred, the children embraced the rain, laughing, playing, and creating unforgettable memories. Their positivity turned a stormy day into a unique adventure.

A week later, on 7th December 2024, the Cub Scouts took centre stage at the school’s Christmas Carnival. With boundless energy and creativity, they organised a series of engaging games, including the “Lollipop Tree,” “Find the Matching Snowman,” and “Feed Santa a Cookie.” Each game was a hit, bringing smiles to children and adults alike. The scouts’ meticulous planning and festive spirit brought the carnival to life, making it a joyous event for the entire school community.

These two events showcased the Cub Scouts’ resilience, teamwork, and ability to find joy in any situation. Whether braving the rain or spreading Christmas cheer, they proved that their adventurous spirit knows no bounds. Here’s to more exciting experiences with The British School Cub Scouts in the year ahead!
