It fills me with immense pride to share the incredible learning journey undertaken by our Year 4 classes this term. The students have been exploring the wonders of rainforests around the globe, weaving together their studies across English, Humanities, and Science to create a truly enriching and impactful experience. Their enthusiasm and engagement have been nothing short of inspiring.
In English, we embarked on an imaginative journey with the beautiful and thought-provoking book Where the Forest Meets the Sea. The students were captivated by the evocative descriptions and illustrations, sparking their imaginations and inspiring creative writing pieces. Their stories reflected the rich biodiversity and fragile beauty of rainforests, with some delving into themes of adventure, mystery, and conservation. Through their writing, the students demonstrated a growing awareness of the intricate connections between humans and nature, as well as the urgent need to protect these precious ecosystems.
