This week, our Year 2s stepped into the magical world of The Dragon Machine by Helen Ward, and what an adventure it’s been!
The excitement began when a dragon’s nest mysteriously appeared in our classroom—complete with giant footprints and a hidden egg! Our young detectives eagerly investigated, piecing together clues and imagining where the dragons had come from.
As the story unfolded, the children spotted hidden dragons in the illustrations, explored new vocabulary, and created bold “Beware of Dragons” posters to warn everyone about the mischievous creatures.
It’s been a fantastic week of storytelling, imagination, and adventure. Next up, the pupils will design their very own Dragon Machines—stay tuned for the magic to continue! 🐲✨
