Walk-In Inspirations

On the 4th of February 2025, Year 2 team organised a special day for our Year 2 students where our very own parents visited the children to share insights about their fascinating jobs.

This term, Year 2 students have been learning about inspirational figures, activists, inventors, and famous individuals across the curriculum.

Over the past few weeks, their discussions have ranged from Malala’s fight for education rights to the Wright Brothers
groundbreaking flight and the historic moment when the first man set foot on the Moon.

We were privileged to have parents volunteer to come in and speak about their captivating professions to the children. The 45-minute session facilitated the inspiring visitors to engage with all Year 2 classes, sparking excitement among the students.

The children made great use of the opportunity by filling the classrooms with their bubbling questions while the inspiring speakers were nothing short of enthusiasm, energy and insight.

There is no doubt that the speakers’ jobs intrigued the children. It was truly delightful to see the parents break down their elaborative jobs into a fun and captivating presentation that resonated with our active learners.

The Walk-Ins left the Year 2 children inspired and eager to explore new possibilities. We are truly grateful for the parents who volunteered amidst their busy schedules. The Year 2 looks forward to more exciting and thrilling events in the future!
