Our Creative Arts Week was a true celebration of the incredible talent, energy, and imagination of our students across Art, Drama, and Music.
We launched the festivities with a bang during our 48-Hour Drama weekend — a whirlwind of creativity where students wrote, rehearsed, and performed an original murder mystery in just two days. The thrilling final performance, delivered in front of a live audience, was a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and flair for storytelling.
Throughout the week, the arts continued to shine. We held two special assemblies that showcased a rich mix of drama performances, musical pieces, and stop-motion animations — all created by our talented students. A particularly proud moment was the launch of our newly rescored school song, beautifully recorded by the school choir. Hearing it performed in assembly gave everyone a real sense of unity and pride.
A major highlight of the week was our Art Auction, where artworks and ceramics took centre stage. The event not only celebrated visual arts but also became a platform for our chamber musicians, dancers, and vocalists to perform. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the auction raised an impressive LK176,261.5 for charity — a truly heart warming achievement.
We closed the week on a high note with a joyful Karaoke session and door decoration competition, bringing students and staff together in a final burst of creativity and fun.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our incredible student artists, performers, and musicians for their time, passion, and commitment to raising the profile of the arts at BSIC. Your contributions have made this week unforgettable!
